The Sweet Spot Between Plumber and Electrician

There’s a whole class of small fixture jobs that licensed plumbers and electricians charge a $300+ minimum for — but that don’t actually require a license to do. Like-for-like swaps. Preston handles those at handyman pricing without compromising on safety.

What Preston Swaps and Installs

Ceiling fans, including downrod and flush-mount, with new wall switches if needed. Pendant lights, chandeliers, and recessed-can to LED disk-light conversions. Vanity lights and bath bar fixtures. Faucet replacement (kitchen, bathroom, utility) with new supply lines and shut-off valves if the old ones are corroded. Toilet replacement with a new wax ring, supply line, and floor flange repair if needed. Toilet flapper, fill valve, and flush handle repair. Garbage disposal replacement (Badger, InSinkErator Evolution, etc.). Showerhead and tub spout swaps. Dishwasher and over-the-range microwave installation.

What areas do you serve?
Round Rock, Hutto, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Leander, Taylor, Liberty Hill, Jonestown, and the rest of the North Austin metro. If you're outside that ring, ask anyway — Preston will tell you up-front whether the trip charge makes sense for your project.
How are your jobs priced?
Every job is quoted in writing before any work begins, with the scope spelled out so you know exactly what you're paying for. The estimate visit itself is free in the service area.
How small a job will you take on?
Almost any size — from a single sticky door up through a multi-day list. Preston will quote whatever you need before you book, so you always know the cost in advance.
How soon can you come out?

Do I need to be home while you work?
Not always. For inside work most clients prefer to be home for the first half hour while Preston walks the project, then they head out. Repeat clients often leave a key or a code. Whatever you're comfortable with works.
